Fingerprints are the most infallible means of identification. Latent print development from crime scenes is a challenging task. Fingerprint composition, Surface type and the technique used govern the success of development. A wide range of physical, chemical and optical techniques are available. However their application demands a complete understanding of the working and their compatibility with the other two factors.
